Comments about Speedo LZR Elite 2 Jammer:

As a D1 Bound, Junior National Level Swimmer, here's my take on this product vs. the Arena Carbon Pro (comparable products, I have had both!). If you are a sprint freestyler, and a 100 stroke person (fly, back, breast, free), I would highly recommend the Arena. Why? Arena provides greater compression and will get your adrenaline up higher than this suit. However, the problem is that after about 150-200 you will feel the suit start to zap your energy. I am a long breaststroker and IMer (200IM, 400IM, 200BR), and I lean towards this suit because of the comfortable fit and incredible water repellency. The Arena will also last longer, but it costs more than the LZR. This suit has gotten me tons of drops over the years, and I have had 4 of these and have not been dissatisfied. This suit is a good safe bet, and also I have found that the all-black LZR lasts longer than the ones with the alternating colors. Why? Who knows...but hopefully this helps clear up confusion for prospective buyers.

Comments about Speedo LZR Elite 2 Jammer:

The lzr elite 2 is a great suit, does the job every thing you would expect from the suit. (But its not a miracle worker) so don't expect this suit to make you an Olympic swimmer. This suit is for high end racing (Not for practice ,warmup or prelims). For lower level racing or younger swimmers I would purchase the lzr pro ( cheaper, good quality and it last much longer. the only improvements I could see would to make the suit a little tighter or come in a size 20

Comments about Speedo LZR Elite 2 Jammer:

My son dropped several seconds in all events at the championships wearing this suit. Just note that it runs larger than the Pro. My son's 22 Pro is way too small but the 22 elite is slightly too big-not as snug in legs as he would like - but we kept it because we couldn't find a smaller size.

Comments about Speedo LZR Elite 2 Jammer:

I use the product when racing at my most important meets and it always gets the job done. I always feel fast when I swim in this suit and for the most part always drop time in this suit. the only negative thing is that it seems to wear out rather quickly, I started to notice that after only two meets of about 4 days each the suit started to feel looser and did not have as much compression. It definitely starts to stretch out after a short amount of use. All in all though even after it began to feel as though there wasn't as much compression I still seem to swim fast in this suit and it works well for me. I would definitely recommend this suit for someone that wants to put in the money to make themselves even go the slightest faster whether they believe the suit helps or its just in their head.

Comments about Speedo LZR Elite 2 Jammer:

Good product but expensive. Grandson did take time off all his swims. Was easier to get on than most of the racing suits. We did think it stretched after several wearings. (so order 2 sizes smaller). We ordered only one size smaller than practice suit. It fit good for the first few swims, but then seemed to stretch slightly. Is an attractive suit. I like the material.

Comments about Speedo LZR Elite 2 Jammer:

I allways use this type of suits for swimming competitions and in my opinion its a great fastskin with great variations of different colours but when I do the turn the water gets easily in it, and that is what makes me fell unconfortable when i swim in competitions.

Comments about Speedo LZR Elite 2 Jammer:

I used this suit for my high school championships and my club championships. I am usually a side 32 brief, I ordered a 30. The 30 was barely a good fit, I recommend ordering four sizes smaller than your practice suit (assuming that that is a perfect fit). From the beginning of my season to the end of this season, I dropped 40 seconds over the span of 7 events (including relay starts). I also have friends on my club swimming at ncsa junior nationals and I know for a fact that they were more than satisfied with this suit and they dropped a lot of time. If it wasn't clear already, I would highly recommend this suit.

I coach my son and I have his times for our practices. I have timed him in 15 practices and have all his splits and times. He is a great swimmer but once he jumps in he water with the LZR he drops considerably time. About 2 seconds in a 100 breast. I have done it three times and every 5 practices we go with the fastskin and well the results speak for themselves.

At first I was skeptical about the LZR series by speedo. I received the suit as a gift and did not drop anytime the first 3 or 4 races. But after those I dropped 5 seconds in the 500 free mid season wearing this suit for a TISCA champ meet and it felt great.

Dependent on care and length of time exposed to chemicals it will last up to 4 championship meets.
We consider an average championship meet consisting of 6 races. For best results rise the suit in cold water and lay flat to dry.

I prefer this suit much more over the high-waisted jammer. I am a breaststroker myself and I like to tie my suits relatively tight (so they dont fill up with water when I am racing), and when I do so with the high-waisted jammer, it hurts my hips extremely bad as I push through the breaststroke kick movements. There are even some meets where I end up with bruised hips because of the higher waistband. I would choose to buy the LZR Racer Elite Jammer over the high-waisted version any day! Hope this helps and good luck with your swimming!

LZR Elite 2 is the most water repellent suit (more so than the original LZR Elite); it is a woven lightweight fabric, bonded seams, and all over compression. | LZR Racer Pro has sewn in seams; lightweight, woven, compressive fabric | FS3 Elite Jammer is a knit fabric with zoned compression and bonded seams.
