I own the large backpack and use it for my swimming stuff. I loved the large backpack so much that I bought the small backpack to use as a 'purse' while I am on crutches. It's extrememly comfortable over both shoulders, and the many pockets keep my wallet, makeup, etc. organized. Drinks will fit in side pockets - and the interior is big enough for a sweater! Perfect accessory to my crutches.

It's a great "small" backpack. lots of pockets and very sturdy. If you are using it for back and forth to practice, just remember that it will be too small for transport your kickboard. Otherwise it is exactly what was described.

This bag is amazing! I bought one the bigger one for my 10 year old, and this one for my 7 year old. These bags have been through EVERYTHING. Boating, swimming, sailing, etc. One of them has been dropped into the pool where they swim! They still both look the same as when we bought them, and they are so lightweight. Excellent bag.

I bought two of these backpacks for my daughters when they started swim team swimming at the age of 5. I felt that the other Speedo bags were too large for their size, but wanted them to have a good bag. They have worked out great. The girls are 8 now, and still using these bags. We have ordered them new ones, and will be passing these ones down to other little swimmers. They are still in excellent condition. In terms of size, they are full when they have two normal sized towels plus a change of summer clothes (plus the usual goggles, caps, etc).
