I tried these out in a class at the Aquatic Exercise Association conference and thought they were fantastic. I bought two pairs at the meeting to bring back and try with my water aerobics classes and boot camps before investing in enough for a whole class, and within a month the pins holding the drag plates on had broken off. I heard from several other instructors that they had the same problem. These are a great piece of equipment, and I'd recommend them enthusiastically to an individual buying their own, but they're not durable enough for class use. Hopefully Speedo will improve the fastening mechanism, because I would love to use this piece of equipment in my classes, but if they don't last, I can't make the investment.
I've only used them twice, but I love them for water aerobics. I love the padded grips with the straps. I have arthritis, and I don't have to hold on to the grips because the strap holds my hands in place. It is easy to change the discs to the foam etc; I take a class two times a week, and do a day or two on my own with friends.
In Florida, where a large qmount of people do water aerobics, it is difficult to get good products. There is a market not being tapped. It is ok to order on line but I have had many costly errors in quality etc. Many people ask me where I got my weights. I tell them I initially saw it is [@] sportwear but there were none of the add on weights etc. So far your product is good. How long it holds up will be the clincher for me
I teach an Aqua-fit class to a varied group of abilities; physical disabilities to healthy active groups. All can use the dumbbells and benefit from the resistance.
I tried to use them for a vigorous water aerobics workout but every time the red plastic ends brushed against either my suit or my leg, the ends spun off, interrupting the workout. They are a great idea with the breakdown system for travel BUT the locking mechanism needs to be much better. I returned them for a refund.

the red circles gives this product much more resistance than the all grey ones. much better for curls. the all gray ones give me a better stretch. i'm disabled, i also bought the gray belt, it helps me stand up straighter in the pool while walking.
I have had these since the IFAC in May. 2 weeks ago, I was working with these and broke the little tabs that keep the "wheels" on the handles. Will return as defective
First used the Speedo 360 at IAFC and was able to purchase two pairs. Would like to get them for my whole class. Can only use them now in a circuit class where students take turns using them. They are fantastic! The drag component makes them so much more useful than just a buoyant hand bar, which they can be if one wants a regular hand bar. Love the fact that one can travel with them, too, not only in the water, but they come apart and fit easily into luggage.
