Great sun protection, but in ocean waves the shirt is too loose - it gets pulled up. I would go with the tight fit (traditional) rashguard for ocean sports, especially boogie boarding.

    The fit was looser than expected. If you are between sizes I recommend opting for the smaller one (unless you prefer a very loose fit). The neck coverage was okay but not great. It's like a t-shirt but with better material. So it's great as a swim shirt that doubles as a t-shirt.
