All the previous reviewers state this suit runs small. They must all have a long torso. I am short waisted - average build, and this suit fits me in my regular Speedo size which is a 38. I purchased one size up based on previous reviews but sent it back for my regular size. This suit is 100% polyester and will not feel as soft as the nylon/lycra suits BUT it will last longer if you spend a lot of time in the pool. I swim 2 miles, 5 days a week and this suit is holding up. I rinse it at the gym then at home very good then hang up to dry. It has already surpassed my nylon suits in wearing time and has retained its shape and color very well. I used to use the Speedo cleaner a lot, but now only once a week and very diluted. I really like this suit. It is very flattering and comfortable. However, I have a long torso, and this suit is not the best pick for someone like me. I decided to keep it because the next size up was 1 1/2" bigger, per the sizing chart. I was concerned about the suit leaving marks on my skin - not red marks, but definitely indentation marks. The suit still did this when I wore it in the pool (especially in the shoulders). However, my skin was not irritated. Hopefully the suit breaks in a little more and stretches out. I did order the size that fit me best in a store, when trying on multiple suits.

I bought a size up from my regular size and still find it a bit small-but still wearable. I bought the purple and have received many compliments on it.

I ordered the gold and it is beautiful but ran small. I returned it and ordered the next size up and still feels tight but a size larger than any of my other speedo suits. I love it so much I might try again!
