I've had a number of polyester and nylon swim briefs. This nylon suit fits too tight when I buy my regular size. I had to go one size up.
I use this suit both for swimming laps in the pool and under my wetsuit (scuba diving).
A suit like this is great for a dive trip - you're continually getting in and out of the wetsuit - and it's nice to have something that doesn't bunch up inside the wetsuit. I tried polyester suits for use while diving - they're more comfortable, but they're less durable than nylon.
Good craftsmanship and good materials in this suit.

I am a 240 pound guy who lifts weights. I have big legs also, about a 40" actual waist size, I wear 38 jeans. I ordered the 42" size of these because I wanted a "Speedo" classic cut swimsuit big enough for me & my legs. This was on target, not only does it fit & look good, it has that Speedo quality so you know it will last for years. The drawsting waist means I can tie it to fit if my shape changes a bit. Keep making some 42"s Speedo, there IS a market!

My waist is 35 inches measured. The size 36 fits great. Nice 5 inch rise on the side, not super high-cut. The nylon is incredibly comfortable, much nicer than spandex. I presume that being nylon, it will last and last. Very sad that this appears to be discontinued.

I love the feel of the suit. The material dries fast and the suit is quite durable. It just doesn't fit me in my regular size. I find that I need to upsize by one size, and then it fits more like the lycra Speedo. I only wish it came in some other colors. The suit is rather attractive.

The only thing I'd like changed: I'd like a dark green and an invisible zipper in front would make it more convenient to remove when wet.

I have bought this classic suit for 30 years or more . I have bodysurfed and swam laps for thousands of hours in it and I love it for its durability and longer side seams which are kinder to bodies w/ a few extra pounds . I buy 2 inches bigger than my pant waist size for a good fit .The inner lining is great and nylon still is my favorite over lycra . I hope that Speedo keeps this suit around while I can still hit the pool and waves !!
