I ordered twice and still haven't found the right fit: the 1st was too short, the 2nd, long version, was too big. The conservative cut at the leg was great & flattering (though the suit didn't fit). I like the fabric and lining. Big However: The suits were much lower in front chest/neck area than they looked like in the catalog, so I am still looking for one that has a higher neck, conservative cut, and that fits. So far, I'm now not sure Speedo offers a such a suit.???

I do aqua aerobics 3 times a week and have worn this suit for 20 years. My last purchases were cut much lower in front. (check photos below) I'm told by Speedo they have updated this model. It is not an improvement! Why mess with something that's on your website in both "bestsellers" and "top rated" categories? I'm very disappointed to have to start looking for a new suit.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
Needed a conservative suit for training. Tried it on and it did feel awkward initially, but then again, I've not worn a one-piece in years. Fit was very flattering, conservative in all the right places. I thought I had purchased a size too small as it was slightly difficult to get over my hips initially. I also felt as though the openings for my legs cut slightly into my backside and thighs. When I took it swimming at the gym the other day, it was much easier to get into and once I hit the water, it felt great! Sort of like a second skin. Dried quickly. All-in-all, I love it.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I have been lap swimming for 28 years. The conservative style used to fit well, but the past several years has been redesigned to a much lower front on the bust line and drags down in the water. What happened to the crossover bra style from the 1980's and 1990,s? If you can design conservative legs style can you not design conservative bust line? I shall probably be looking elsewhere for other brands.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I was so disappointed when I received this product. I look to Speedo as a good brand name that will deliver a quality product- but it really didn't in this case. The leg part was so tight! It didn't fit at all with the proportions of the rest of the bathing suit. I had ordered a size up after seeing other comments and still it was an incredibly uncomfortable fit. It costs 6$ to return the suit if you did not spend over 100$ in your original purchase. Save yourself the time, money and hassle: choose a different bathing suit.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I purchased this suit for water aerobics when my "cute suit" wasn't cutting it in the effective department.
I'm considered plus size and where the leg opeing hit was so flattering on my body and even had a vintage feel to it so I didn't feel like someone much older than I am.
Not only did it look good but it was perfect for what I needed. It stayed in place and kept everything covered so I wasn't exposing myself to he entire gym.
I felt confident and even a little sexy for it being a once piece speedo.

I am using this for regular lap swimming for exercise and just an additional cardio routine. The suit is just as I expected. I purchased the suit in the same size that I wear jeans, it is maybe slightly tight but in a good way, definitely not worth a whole size up. I haven't had any complaints about the suit so far. I like the color and the cut. I am pretty modest and do like the leg opening. The suit is easy to get on/off I am pretty satisfied with this choice and am looking forward to many pool days ahead.

7 years ago I bought a suit of this style. I had only used it for a year when I was stricken with a neuroligic disorder that now has me wheelchair dependent. I started water physical therapy a year ago. I was so excited to find the same style on your website. Unfortunately, even though I ordered the same size this new suit is significantly smaller. The shell of the new one has 4% less Antron Nylon & 4% more Lycra Spandex. The generous fit of my old suit accomodates my limited mobility when changing into it. I'm so disappointed the new suit did not fit the same & will be sending it back.

I use to have a speedo swimsuit 25 years ago. It was good quality and lasted a long time. I have changed in size and shape over the years so ordering another one was questionable if I would still like the style. I do! It fits great and makes me feel shapely. Speedo is still superior to any suit I have ever had.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I recently installed a resistance pool in my back yard and bought a couple of swimsuits. I had read numerous reviews of Speedo suits and one recurring themes that I read, are that Speedo's are "cut small". I have not worn a swimsuit in years and the thought of me in a Speedo was scary. After reading so many made comments about Speedo's being cut small, and since like many women I seem to think I am larger than I actually am. I decided to buy the suit 2 sizes larger. I typically wear a size 12, but bought a size 16. That was a mistake. The suit is very nice but feels true to size. A size 12 would be perfect.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
Like the suit and was atracted to the styling - espcially the back, thinking it would be a good workout suit. But the neck is too low cut and loose for workout and certainly not racing. It scoops water and doesn't fit tight enough to the chest.

Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I have bought this suit for years because it is fully lined and has maximum coverage in legs. However, many years ago I think I was able to get maximum leg coverage in a lined suit with less coverage on the back and neck. As someone else has written, I would really appreciate having more choices. If I could have a lined conservative leg with a little more "style", I would wear on the beach and when at the pool socially.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I am 59, 5'6'' and 139 lbs. I want a conservative fitting suit for laps at the gym. After menopause, my back seemed to retained the weight. I don't look good in the "ultra back". It accentuates the bra muffin bulge under the arm pits and there is a bulge in the triangle in the middle and between the straps and the neck. Horrible! I mean a bra bulge is unsightly enough but when you have a back cross design?? This is a "what not to wear" for my issues. But, I haven't not found a conservative suit with tank back. That's all I want! Why is it so hard to find! It seems there would be a huge market for conservative suits as baby boomers are now over 60. I would not recommend this to a friend my age who has any extra weight on them.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
Speedo, This is from your conservative line. Why did you mess with a good thing? Listen to the reviews. Someone who wants leg coverage is likely to want bust coverage too! Make your moderate line lower cut but don't mess with the conservative suit. Charge a little more for the suit for that bit of extra fabric.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I am a lap swimmer. I have loved speedo products historically, but, am frustrated now. The suit is the same size I always wear but is too small. After spending much time online, I cannot find the conservative scoop back suit I used to purchase.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
Extremely disappointed that Speedo changed the quality and the conservative front without telling the customers. The cup material is thinner and has less front coverage - ways for Speedo to save money. I am a long distance lap swimmer with a long body and order size 14 because this style does not come in 12L. I have ordered this same suit for several years and I thought I ordered the wrong suit when I received the new style - Speedo changed the suit style and the front, while keeping the photo of the old style suit on the ad page - this is so tacky and sneaky. Thanks to the other users who wrote about these bad design people at Speedo - I thought it was just me.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I had to return these 2 suits. In the stores I always buy size 12 speedos, but these were way too small. I've reordered a different suit. So - now I'm waiting to see how the return policy works.

Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
It looks fine. Suit is packed away for backup. If it is anything like my 4 previous Speedos, I will love it. I searched and searched for this model in Endurance fabric. That really lasts. I have yet to try the extra-life Lycra over time. If it doesn't last like the others, I will be very disappointed.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I've been wearing Speedo conservative leg, fastback, solid color suits for many years. Love them. Now they've been redesigned with a low cut front. Yuck! And the new fabric, which is supposed to last longer, is uncomfortably stiff and tight, though perhaps it will give a bit more in time. I think Speedo should warn customers when an old favorite has been restyled!!
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
The two negatives may be just my own personal problem. I am not young, toned and firm. This suit fits wonderful except in the back which does not cover enough body. It is too low and with the nice snug fit it causes the back fat- flab to protrude even more. The back straps cross and that's good for exercising but are too skinny which with the back fat- flab pushed up-out from the too low cut is not comfortable. Either I have a back fat-flab-ectomy or more simple would be that the swim suit designer/maker make the back of the suit come across the back at the underarms. I want the conservative leg cut and this suit is good for that, really had no other choice in conservative cut except to go to a plus size which thankfully I'm not there! I will have to endure the low cut :( . This suit says it's resistant to chlorine unlike my other brand which faded after 3 times in the water. Oh my, how I wish this one fit like the faded one.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
I'm petite, 5'1 and 100lbs, and the size 4 fits me perfectly. The conservative cut in black is the only one that comes in size 4. I wish Speedo would make size 4's for all their suits. It's well lined, very comfortable, and lightly padded for extra coverage.

I ordered this for lap swimming. I am 68 inches, 140# and have a 38C chest size. When I tried this on, I was very excited because it did seem to fit well. The neckline looked a little low but not terribly. This was not the case in the water. When I started swimming, it became way too low and it seemed there was hardly any coverage. I was very disappointed. Speedo doesn't make the swimsuit anymore that I loved so I was hoping this would work but no such luck. I returned it. I like the wide straps and the back, though. I think conservative is not the word for the front part of the suit.
Comments about SPEEDO Solid Conservative Ultraback:
Perfect for lap swimming and playing in the pool. Fits snugly. Nice lining. I like the lower cut leg openings, but the neckline is lower than my former speedo suit. I would not consider it maximum coverage as advertised.
