Wear my in the pool at home as well out at the lake and beach! My wife loves the fit on me as well. My 8 year old son and I love the fit feels very well in front as well back I wear normal size 34 but its even better when i buy to 38 still snug fit but not so tight as would be in my size I wear for confort style as well slim sides, my only problem here is they are comming out here with few more colors and I will get them all here,but they still have no YELLOW I have a gold one but want my yellow ! YES I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS AS WELL! Please let my know as soon as you have other colors as well I want the full collection here for us both.
I also think here if the Solar suit was made in a soft 100% polyester I think that many others will love the suit as well fit and have no trobles here with it fadding as well loosing its shape,Again Speedo lets keep this style as well colors around for many years to come want my son to grow up with the solar suits.

The product is advertised as 1" but the waist line if thicker than that. My only real complaint. Makes me look good and I feel good wearing it. I'm enjoying this product.

This is a winner in form, comfort, durability and fit! My husband orders many at one time (in different colors - black, navy and red - and for different work outs and duffle bags). He particularly loves the drawstring (inside) feature to cinch closer or loosen to his lower waist, when/if desired. He wears the Solar 1" brief beneath his scuba gear and wetsuit when he dives, during pool swims and in fresh and salt water environments. He gets a lot of wear out of this swimming brief and only replaces his suits when they get frayed or damaged from excessive friction from concrete (which you should avoid anyway). It is otherwise, quite rugged. My husband wears his Solar 1" briefs till they are almost thread bare! (He gets many years worth of wear and likes the 1" for its higher leg, which is more flattering to his 5'10" frame!) He buys no other brief than this one.

What's not to like? Well OK, the lack of international shipping here. And the disappearance of warm reds and soft blues from Speedo's palette :(

But having sampled others I keep returning to speedos - just can't beat the quality and fit. Unlike some others, size consistency from pair to pair is excellent. Durable fabrics, snug where it counts - cheeks, legs, pouch - room where you need it - front and centre. Who want's to be distracted by ill-fitting swimwear that detracts from the feeling of wearing nothing at all? Isn't that the whole point; to be unaware of your swimwear with the confidence that nothing will go astray? Highly recommended

I am 60 years old and have been wearing speedos since my high school swimming team days. The quality never varies. I still have some suits that are at least 20 years old and with care, look like I just bought them. My only complaint is that the draw strings are too long and I always end up cutting them or they hang out.

It was time to replace my old, trusty Speedo, so I purchased a turquoise and a white Solar 1" brief. The fabric in the Solar is heavier than my old suit and has an inside lining. The Solar does a better job than the old suit of masking what's underneath. The new suit has somewhat less coverage, especially on the legs, but I really like this because now nothing gets in the way of my legs while I'm swimming my laps. The elasticity of the waistband of the Solar is such that I doubt you need the drawstring for normal swimming (it might be needed for diving; I haven't tried that). I have a 36" waist and I purchased the same size suit. The suit is snug, which is fine. I've tried purchasing a size 38 in the past, and it was too loose. My only concern is that the care instructions for Lycra recommend that you rinse in tap water and quickly dry the suit after use. I rinse mine thoroughly and hang it over a towel in my locker, which has modest air holes. It takes about a day to dry out. I usually get 2-3 years of use this way. I like the way I look and feel in this swimsuit!

-bought 2 black pairs,good fit when new. Each faded in the back and became baggy and were un-usable after 18 1/2 to 3/4 hour lap swimming sessions in various pools.Since they become baggy, best to get two sizes below normal pant size. High leg cut doesn't restrict leg movement. Heard about Speedo Endurace + and am now at 50+ laps sessions and no fading, but the material is stiffer.

only minor thing I might change is having a seam in the front but there is an inside lining so it doesn't cause discomfort..I would buy several in different colors to wear..

Not sure what kind of a ruler Speedo uses but my old solar suit (6 yrs old and still kicking) really did have a 1" side. This new one has a 2" side but is advertised as 1 ".......so why not advertise as a 2"? Wish they would go back to the 1".

I wear it for pool and beach just because its very sexy as well confortable to wear, I go up in size as well for a much better fit! Please keep the colors you have as well and bring in more bright colors to like nice yellow or very light blue as well prints,take the front seam out here and make it a true 1 inch side here as well. I love speedos here have worn all my life as well and yes all should wear them here in the states no matter the age Speedos are best!

Love this swim suit! I'll have to admit that being a conservative kind of guy I was intimidated walking out of the locker room in this suit the first time, but after swimming in it I'm ready to buy more in different colors. It is amazingly comfortable and gives my legs total freedom. If there weren't such a stupid stigma in our society about wearing them for everyday swimming/at the beach, I'd throw out all my long swimming trunks. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to do that;)

For men who don't mind showing off their bodies, the solar brief fits like a second skin, is comfortable in and out of the water, and you just glide with it on; it fits very well. Unlike some swimsuits I've had, it looks like the material will last, too.

My first speedo had a 3 1/2 in side. Going to a 1 inch side (actually closer too a 2 in side) is a big jump. I felt very exposed walking out to the pool. The suit is a lot more revealing than my other speedo. It is comfortable. Feels great in the pool and i really liked the way it felt swimming. It did not fall or move around at all. I have already ordered a second pair and who know maybe in the future get a true 1 in side. This is a great buy.
