Comments about SPEEDO Men's Shorecruiser® II:
I use these water shoes specifically for surfing-it protects my feet from the ocean floor as well as the fins of my surfboard (if I wipe-out). Also, I have better traction while riding a wave. I did not give it a "5", as I have to wait and see how long they will last under this harsh environment (I do hand wash with soap & water after each use to get the salt water out.)
I ordered these water shoes because Speedo had my size (14) These are priced right and the fit is good even with my wide foot. I use these for kayaking and they are perfect for the job.
I am an Aqua Zumba student and now the 18th person to be certified in Aqua Zumba in the Las Vegas area. Because of the bouyancy of the water, you don't need a shoe with a lot of cushioning in the sole. What you need is a shoe that offers flexibility and affords traction on the pool surface. This shoe does both plus all the other benefits above. Speaking for myself, I recommend this highly for in pool use: aqua aerobics, jogging, yoga, pilates, etc
I bought these even though I have wide feet. I was worried about fitting but they worked great. I found that a pair of sports socks works well in them also.
I've had these for three weeks. At first the soles took a little getting used to (the insoles are thinner than I was used to and tend to slip out when being taken off) but the drain holes in the soles are a big plus.
