I got one for my grandson, had one for my granddaughter and this is the second one for another granddaughter, they are wonderful, you can go to the pool and not worry if they are near or in the water, it does a great job of keeping them afloat with out all the arm floaties and the bulky life jackets. This does not ride up on them and they have so much fun, not being held all of the time and not having things in their face or making their arms not move. Wonderful for all of us.

Doesn't actually work
THe flotation suit was the perfect size for our boy. We measured the chest, spoke with the rep and ordered the medium size, which fit him perfectly.
THe flotation suit was the perfect size for our boy. We measured the chest, spoke with the rep and ordered the medium size, which fit him perfectly.
The suit has one bad design flaw. It is made from a material that stretches like rubber bands. So, when you put the child in the water, the clild will sink and the floaters will shoot up above his shoulders. In other words, our boy's mouth and nose are below water level, since the floaters are above his shoulders. And that's all becasue the material stretches so much that it doesn't keep the floaters at chest level, when you put your child in the water.
It really feels like Speedo designed this suit without ever testing it in the water. Or perhaps they originally made it from a differetn fabric. Whatever the case, it's hard to believe they are selling something that doesn't even work.
I'm really sorry I have to write a bad review, but I belive it's in teh best interest of everyone. Speedo should redesign this suit and that way will not deal with returns and dissapointed customers.
We use this suit for our 11-year-old daughter that has special needs. If you are looking for a suit that is meant to simply help your child swim, this is a great suit. If you are looking for a life-saving suit, this isn't it.
Not happy. The flotation devices move/twist when child is swimming causing child to flip, etc. Suits with just one solid flotation device in the front and one in the back work better.

Bought this for our four year old grandson...he wore it three times and the zipper broke. Also stitching around the bottom of the leg opening came out. Thought Speedo meant quality...very disappointed
The only thing I would change if I could is to re-position the inner "float". It tends to ride up and "choke" younger children. If it was put in horizontal instead of vertical - I think that would help with the problem. Other than that it is an excellent tool that gives young children who are just learning to swim confidence in the water.

We found this suit to be nearly unusable for our toddler grandson, until we folded the front floats in half, making them half as long and twice as thick. Then the suit worked beautifully and we were all happy in the water. We recommend this modification to all who purchase the suit because it keeps the floats from riding up under the chin and provides additional floatation in front.
