We purchased this Jr. cap for our 6 year old daughter. We also purchased a latex cap (not from speedo) and we much prefer the silicone cap. It is easier to put on her and she says it is more comfortable. This cap is for a child or small teenager, it fits our daughter very well. She has long hair and there is still enough room in the back to last a few more years of growing. It stays comfortably snug all around keeping her ears protected and her hair dry. She is in a competitive swim team which involves a lot of practices that include many different strokes, and happily after many uses it has never fallen off. We are very happy with this product :)

I have been trying to replace a Speedo cap that after years of use finally developed a split in a seam. The one I need to replace has a couple "ribs" just inside the cap that help keep the water out and the hair dry. The replacement that was sent to me by your on-line store is too small for my head and I'm a woman with short hair. I presume now, after checking your web site today, that it must have been the Jr. cap although it was not identified as such when I bought it or when I received it. If this cap is really indended for children, why not say so? Because it is too small,the cap does not stay in place over my ears and does not keep the water out. Apparently all the swim cap manufacturers, including Speedo, have forgotten that the reason most non-competitive, non-professional swimmers buy a swim cap is to keep their hair dry and the water out of their ears. This product fails on all counts. I suspect that would also be true of other caps I have seen in stores and on various web sites. Without the inside ribbing, swim caps are mostly ineffective and cost more than they are worth.
